Scotsman ice maker produce less ice after cleaning

I have a small scotsman DCE 33A-1SB that was working well until I cleaned it and it stopped making ice like it used too. I had it for about eight years now and this is the first time it failed me. I did the usual cleaning method like vacuuming the bottom grill and clean the inside with the company's recommended cleaning solution. I've done it so many times over the years it's like a ritual. It still makes ice but just a handful instead by the gallons. The level setting is in the usual position and tried setting it in different settings with no luck. Also, I have a regular floor fan that runs 24/7 at the bottom of the machine because over the years I noticed that it produces less ice when the bottom get hot so, I tried to cool it down with the fan. Any idea what could have gone wrong? thanks
