I'm looking to buy the self contained Manitowoc QM-30 which makes 65 lbs. of ice per day. I was wondering if you could give me any estimate of how much it will cost me to run that.

Operating costs

The cost of operation is relative to the cost of electricity and water in your area and how much you use it per day. It uses 20.4 KWh of electricity and 38.4 gallons of water per 100 lbs of ice. This information can generally be found on the manufacturer's spec. sheet for the unit. For example, see the chart in the top left corner of the second page for this unit.
