Ice maker operating cost
I'm looking to buy the self contained Manitowoc QM-30 which makes 65 lbs. of ice per day. I was wondering if you could give me any estimate of how much it will cost me to run that.
Ice machine noise level
I'm looking for a machine that will sit on top of my Coke dispenser bin. I've requested the dimension of my Coke dispenser and will have it later today. I'm concerned about the noise level of the ice maker since it will be located close to the dining area.
Warranty work on ice makers bought over the Internet
I want to buy Scotsman AFE400 Flaked ice maker over the internet. However, I am wondering who is responsible for the warranty. Is it from Scotsman or the company who sells it?
Filter necessary?
For the 95 lb. Manitowoc ice machine I recently purchased, do I have to buy a special filter or will any household filter do? I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative to buying a special expensive filter.

How much clearance should I allow between my ice maker and the wall? I wan to make sure it has good air circulation.
Condensate Pump?
Why do people suggest I get a drain pump? Can't I just let the water drain right into my water line? Why should I pump it somewhere? I've already spent quite a bit of money on the ice maker, I can spend more but only if I need to.
